aka: British Friday Five
My lame horse went at an Adverse Camber
down the Butts Wynd streets.
We passed the Free House
where liberal ale was served.
Come Sunday, we'd be in the Plague Church
of the indulgence of the night before.

as the next round slid my way.
The assignment, per Songbird & Kathryn, is to define the five British phrases shown in bold above. I decided it would be more fun to try to write a poem using those phrases — since I seem to be in a poetic mood this week.
