Descriptive Change

cheval de bataille (shuh-VAL duh ba-TAH-yuh) noun
plural chevaux de bataille (shuh-VOH duh ba-TAH-yuh)
[From French, literally battle-horse.] A favorite topic; hobbyhorse.
When I received this definition from Word a Day, I knew it was perfect for this blogspace. So, you should now see a slight change in the description, above.

I also decided to add a word I've used several times before, “Quotidian”. I know, it looks like fancy latinate, but, it has humble Indo-European roots.
quo·tid·i·an, adj
Everyday; commonplace
Recurring daily. Used especially of attacks of malaria.
